The
Children
Our foundation seeks to put less-privileged children through schooling, improve the quality of education in the community and enable a better environment for the children to grow up in. We look for children between the ages of 4-13 that are experiencing hardships and have never been to school .
We are currently are assisting 10 children and look to grow to at least 50 children by June of 2019. We currently operate in Freetown Sierra Leone, the capital, and are working on expanding our reach into the surrounding areas and villages.
Our
Mission
The Soup Foundation is an initiative based out of Sierra Leone that seeks to improve the welfare of children and the community through education, empowerment, and social enterprise. We focus on providing the children of Sierra Leone the tools they need to grow and succeed, by connecting You - the international community with the goals of local schools, organizations, and businesses.
Building
Relationships
Our foundation works to not only simplify access to a quality education, but also to guarantee future success in adulthood by teaching various professional and life skills. We bring the production and manufacture of The Foundation needs in house and provide training, guidance, and financial assistance towards the growth of local businesses, specifically those dealing with the kids daily needs - food, clothing, school/educational materials, mental/physical health, and the sponsorship of recreational activities.
"Being from Sierra Leone but going to school in America showed me the advantages and benefits that I had with education. These kids want to go to school but they can’t either because of finances or not having any family. My staff and I will take care of these children like they are our own.
Education and children are very important to me. This has been my goal since I was a child and I am happy that I can finally live my dream to give back to my community.”
